Boil some water in a pot.
Place the pot on a flat plate large enough to hold it, then put it on a flat surface like a table or the ground.
Place some towels around the hot pot so that you don't burn yourself.
Add a drop of 100% peppermint essential oil into the boiled water.
Quickly cover the steam with a bath towel.
Place the bath towel over your head and breath in the steam.
The steam will help open up your nasal pathways.
Have tissues handy for your nose.
Stay under the steam for about 5 minutes then make sure that you come out for some air.
Drink some water to rehydrate yourself.
You can then repeat the process.
This is excellent to do before bed time.
BE VERY CAREFUL BECAUSE YOU ARE DEALING WITH BOILING WATER !!

YOU MUST REPEAT TO THEM SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT BEING CAREFUL NOT TO BURN. TALK TO THEM BEFORE, DURING,AND AFTER THE STEAM THERAPY ABOUT THE DANGERS OF THE BOILED WATER !! ONLY USE THIS FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE OLD ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND THE DANGERS OF HOT WATER & THAT ARE ABLE TO SIT STILL.
